People come up to me occasionally, some ring me on the phone and say to me that they cannot afford to pay the fees for the makeup school. This got me thinking… ‘Why not do something unique to empower young people that are financially constrained?’

  1. just read about the house of tara scholarship....am sorry but in my own opinion.....a scholarship is supposed to be a way of helping the under- priviledged but asking ppl to pay for an application form is way out of it.

yep, before u criticise me....I use tara products as well and am a big fan, why not upload an application form and ask ppl to download it.

just u imagine, a thousand ppl picking up an application form at a grand naira each (1000x1000).....u do the maths. just for ten ppl to be picked.

am so sorry but this aint no scholarship.

just tot i let u know, considering am a customer too.

take kia nd keep up ur good work....can see ur very consistent with wat u do. the sky is the take off point.

    have a fab day mam!!!!

  2. i think i understand what Tara is doing. You know what they say "do what you have to do". Its not a crime though if one has to pay to pick up these forms. At least it will get all the applicants serious and expectant. You know there is something about what you pay to get. If it were free, a lot of people are going to flock in for it.I think this is a nice strategy for weeding out 'prospective nuisance' and admitting students who are going to be appreciative of the program.

Tara you are doing a nice job, though keep it up. You can visit www.afrihubcommunication.blogspot.com for more information on these sorts of business marketing and sales strategies. Good luck.
